Richard Joseph Barina, Age 89, of Murfreesboro, TN passed away peacefully beside his loving family on the afternoon of November 4th, 2021.

He was born to the late Joseph and Josephine Barina, in Racine, Wisconsin where he grew up along with his three sisters; Ruth, Mildred, and Evelyn.

Richard later joined the Army which stationed him in Detroit, Michigan on an Air Base where he was promoted to CPL Richard J. Barina for his hard to come by typing abilities; He joined the 5th Army Basket Ball team in 1954 where he was a member of the 28th AAA Group in Selfridge Field, Michigan.

While on base, Richard’s friend had connections that set him up on a blind date with a new girl in town that was working at the bank, who later became Mrs. Ardyth Barina. The two lived married for 66 happy years.

Richard worked as a Senior Purchasing Agent for Jervis B. Webb Company working on many conveyor belts you find in todays airport, automobile, and warehouse systems; his hobbies include many sports; basketball, baseball, golf, and even bowling with his friends in Detroit; He also enjoyed puzzles and horse racing.

Richard is preceded in death by his parents Josephine and Joseph Barina; and Sisters Ruth, Mildred, and Evelyn Barina.

Richard is survived by his loving wife, Ardyth Jane Barina; sons, James (Melissa) Barina, and David (Jennifer) Barina; Grandchildren, Shelden, Lauren, and Michael Barina; and a number of distant Aunts, Uncles, and other family members.
