Mrs. Emilie Odelene Watson, age 80, passed away at her residence on March 8, 2022 surrounded by her family.
She was a lifelong resident of Rutherford County and a lifelong member of Powell’s Chapel Church.
Odelene was preceded in death by her parents, William Hollis Short and Lillian Thompson Short; brother, Powell Shortand niece, Emily Wilson.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry Watson; daughter, Jan (Lori) Watson; sister, Fay Wilson Black; nephew, William (Danette) Short; nieces, Cindy (Lynn) Phillips, Debbie Honeycutt; and a large extended loving family and friends.
Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 PM, Thursday, March 10, 2022 at Jennings and Ayers Funeral Home.
Chapel service will be 10:00 AM, Friday, March 11, 2022 at Jennings and Ayers with Gary Rickman officiating. Burial will follow in Short Cemetery with family serving as pallbearers.
