Mr. James W. Jacobs passed away on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at Alvin C. York VA Medical Center, he was 84 years old.
He was a native of the Buchanan Community and a lifelong resident of Rutherford County. He served in the United States Army and retired from T.V.A.
James was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Geniva Thomas Jacobs. He is survived by his sons, Stephen (Maleia) Jacobs, Wayne (Stephanie) Burns; daughters, Sandy (Michael) Staab, Sherry Jacobs; brothers, Ray Don Jacobs, Aubrey Jacobs, Lester Jacobs, Ralph Jacobs; sister, Ann Fann; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 PM, Friday, May 13, 2022 at Jennings and Ayers Funeral Home.
Chapel service will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 14, 2022 at Jennings and Ayers Funeral Home with Dr. Lenny Farmer officiating. Burial will follow in Bowman-Jacobs Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
