Description Of Offense : Attempted Murder, Aggravated Assault, Aggravated Robbery
On 10/06/2017 at 1950 hours Officer A responded to 910 Brown Drive ( The Cove At Center Point ) in reference to shots fired. Upon arrival the officer made contact with a gunshot victim near the 2 Building who was sitting in a vehicle with another victim ( referred to here as Victim A & Victim B ).
Officer A and Officer B got Victim A out of the vehicle and located a single gun shot wound to the left calf. Victim B was able to provide what happened due to EMS transporting Victim A to the emergency room.
Victim B stated that he was walking to Victim A’s vehicle when a black male, approximately 5’7″, wearing all black clothing with tattoo’s, approached him from behind and attempted to grab his wallet from his pants but failed. The suspect then hit Victim B with the gun in the left side of the head. Victim B stated he ran to call police as the suspect approached Victim A.
Victim A got out of the car and started fighting withe the suspect. During the fight the suspect fired one shot and struck Victim A in the leg. The suspect then stole $103.00 from the vehicle shortly before fleeing the scene.
Detectives were called to the scene and took over this investigation.
