Sylvia Kay Barrett, age 83, passed away on May 16, 2025. She was a native and lifelong resident of Rutherford County. Sylvia was a homemaker.
Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Estelle Jones, son, Billy Hillis, and sister, Emma Jean Lester.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Earl Barrett; son, Randal Hillis; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.
Visitation with the family will be from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM on Monday, May 19, 2025, at Jennings & Ayers Funeral Home. A chapel service will be at 12:00 PM Monday following the visitation at Jennings & Ayers. Burial will follow the service at Jones-Haynes Cemetery.
