With a mission of improving the health of Murfreesboro’s downtown community, VIBE Nutrition recently relocated its smoothie café to a new home on West Main Street.

Owned and operated by husband-and-wife duo, Zach and Karen Stafford, VIBE Nutrition offers a variety of protein-blended smoothies in more than 140 flavors and naturally-flavored green teas.

The MTSU graduates initially launched their health-focused concept in Nashville before moving to Northwest Broad Street in Murfreesboro two years ago.

But the Staffords yearned for a stronger sense of community and were drawn to the walkability of downtown. When a space became available at 208 W. Main St., the couple jumped at the chance to become a part of such a cool culture.

“We’re excited to move downtown to provide healthy options for breakfast and lunch,” Karen Stafford explained.

While the concept naturally appeals to folks with more active lifestyles, Karen Stafford says she also wants to reach people who are just getting started on their health journeys.

“The goal is to help people get healthy, and this is a very easy tool to do it,” she said. “Eating clean can be very time consuming, but we can offer a nutritious fast-food option. You can be in and out of VIBE in about five minutes.”

Each shake is made exclusively with Herbalife Nutrition and packs a whopping 24 grams of protein and 21 grams of vitamins and minerals. With flavors like Cake Batter, Banana Caramel, and Strawberry Piña Colada, there’s something to satisfy even the strongest cravings.

“If you can dream it, we can make it,” says Zach Stafford. “We love to experiment with flavors, and our regulars like to challenge us with ideas.”

For just $7, shoppers can leave with a drink in each hand – one protein shake and one green tea – and a smile from one of the Staffords.

VIBE Nutrition is a true family business; Zach Stafford’s parents, Mike and Angie, and his sister, Joy, all spend time working at the shop. It’s just another reason VIBE Nutrition fits so well in downtown Murfreesboro.
