MURFREESBORO â June 5, 2018 â Mayday Brewery and The Experience Community Church invite everyone to fellowship and food at their parking lot from 4:00pm to 8:00pm on the first day of summer, Thursday, June 21. There will be seven local food trucks serving food, from pizza to quesadillas to soft-serve ice cream as well as music and other activities for all ages.
The church and the brewery have been operating under the same roof for six years, and this will be their first cosponsored event. Ozzy Nelson, Maydayâs Founder enthusiastically explains, âWe have been neighbors for some time, and we both are working to build a better community. At Mayday, our mantra from the beginning was âlove the people, love the beerâ. We really arenât that different, itâs about loving people and making friends.â
The Experience Community Church recently purchased the building located at 521 Old Salem Road about one half mile from the Murfreesboro square and is happy to have Mayday Brewery as a tenant.  âWeâve enjoyed being neighbors with Mayday and our partnership has only grown since purchasing the building. Events like this give us the opportunity to love on our community,â says Operations Manager Phil Lindskog.
The food trucks at the event will include My Roots Curbside Culinary, The Food Truck, Lawsonâs Food Trailor, Smokin Butz, Frisson Ice Cream, The Dough Box, and Hooks BBQ. In addition to food, there will be rock painting, hula hooping, mini pools, corn hole boards, and music. Ozzyâs comment on the food lineup, âI love food truck food, and I havenât tried several of these. I will definitely save room for some soft-serve ice cream.â
Ozzy Nelson as well as Maydayâs Head Brewer Kelsey Nelson will be available to take people on informal tours of the Mayday brewing facilities. There will also be folks available to walk guests around the churchâs facilities to highlight what they have to offer.
