Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 5 pm: Contractor for Water & Sewer Department will be installing sewer lines within TDOT right-of-way/Battlefield Pkwy. A small section of Battlefield Pkwy is closed. Underground bore work continues. Appropriate traffic controls will be in-place.
W Lytle Street Relocation Project (NW Broad St to Barker St)
Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 8:00 pm to 6:00 am: W Lytle Street is also closed to traffic at NW Broad Street for construction work. Â Underground utility work continues. Â Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.
Middle Tennessee Widening Project (Greenland Dr to E Main St)
Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday: Â The contractor has implemented the next phase of the traffic control plan on Middle Tennessee Blvd. Â Traffic on Middle Tennessee Blvd has been shifted to the east side and reduced to two lanes between E Main St and Greenland Dr (near the tennis courts). Â E Lytle St is closed at Middle Tennessee Blvd. Â The section of E Lytle St between N Bilbro Ave and Middle Tennessee Blvd are only open to local traffic. Â Starting Sunday, May 8 to Friday May 13, 8:00 pm to 6:00 am, Middle Tennessee Blvd between Greenland Dr and E. Main St will be reduced to a moving one lane flagging operation for utility crossing work. Â Appropriate traffic controls and detours signs will be in place.
TDOT Roadway Improvement Project (Singer Road between NW Broad St and CSX Railroad)
Expected Lane Closures: Monday, March 14 â Wednesday, August 31: Â The contractor for TDOT will be closing Singer Rd between NW Broad St and CSX Tracks to make roadway improvements. Â Access to and from businesses and residents will be from Florence Road. Â Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.
Private Development Roadway Improvement Work (Veterans Pkwy just north of Old Fort Pkwy)
Expected Minor Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm: Â Contractor for a private development will be performing roadway improvement on Veterans Pkwy just north of Old Fort Pkwy. Â There will be lane closures and traffic interruptions. Â Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.
New Sewer Service Installation Work (Hickerson Dr between W Castle St and S Front St)
Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 2:30 pm: Â Contractor for a private development will be installing sewer service on Hickerson Dr. Â There will be minor traffic interruptions. Â Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.

Expected Lane Closures: Tuesday & Wednesday, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm: Construction crews will be installing utility lines at Burton St and Church St and at Lytle St and Church St. Â There will be lane closures and traffic interruptions. Â Appropriate traffic controls and detours will be in place.
Traffic Signal Loop Repair Work (E Main St at Baird Lane)
Expected Lane Closures: Â Friday, May 6,12:00 am to 6:00 am: Â Contractor for a private development will be re-cutting traffic signal loops on E Main St at Baird Lane. Â Traffic on E Main St will be reduced to one-lane flagging operation. Â There will be lane closures and traffic interruptions. Â Appropriate traffic controls will be in-place.
Comcast Underground Fiber Installation Project (Asbury Rd at Florence Rd)
Expected No Lane Closures: Â Monday through Thursday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm: Â Contractor for Comcast will be installing underground fiber optic lines along Asbury Rd just west of Florence Rd. Â Traffic on Asbury Rd and Florence Rd will be affected by this operation. Â There will be no lane closures and traffic interruptions. Â Appropriate traffic controls will be in-place.
Private Development New Entrance Driveway Work (909 N Thompson Ln â just south of Gateway Blvd)
Expected Lane Closures: Â Monday & Tuesday, 9:00 am to 12:00 pm: Â Contractor for a private development will be installing a new driveway entrance onto N Thompson Ln just south of Gateway Blvd. Â Southbound traffic on Thompson Ln will be reduced from two lanes to one lane through the work area. Â There will be lane closures and traffic interruptions. Â Northbound traffic will not be affected. Â Appropriate traffic controls will be in-place.
Private Development Roadway Improvements Work (Joe B Jackson Pkwy across from Elam Farms Pkwy)
Expected Lane Closures: Â Monday & Tuesday, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm: Â Contractor for a private development will be installing a new street entrance and turn lane on Joe B Jackson Pkwy across from Elam Farms Pkwy. Â Eastbound traffic on Joe B Jackson Pkwy will be reduced from two lanes to one lane through the work area. Â There will be lane closures and traffic interruptions. City of Murfreesboro Traffic Signal Maintenance Work (Broad Street between Mercury Blvd and Florence Rd)
Expected Lane Closures: Â Monday through Thursday, Weather Permitting, 8:00 pm to 6:00 pm: Â City Traffic Signal Contractor will be performing maintenance work on the traffic signals along Broad Street between Mercury Blvd and Florence Rd. Â There will be minor lane closures and traffic interruptions. Â All work will be done at night. Â Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.
TDOT Smartway ITS I-24 Expansion Project (New Salem Hwy at I-24)
Expected Lane Closures: Â Monday through Wednesday: Â 9 am to 3 pm and 7 pm to 6 am, There will be a possible right lane closure on SR 99 eastbound (New Salem Hwy) at the I-24 eastbound on-ramp to work on the adjustment of the CCTV camera. Â One lane will remain open. Â Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.
