Nancy Patty Ryan of Murfreesboro, Tennessee passed away on Friday, November 4, 2022, she was 69 years old.
A native of Murfreesboro, TN, she was the daughter of the late Elbert Kay Patty and Elaine Blair Patty.
Nancy was also preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Jerry Clayton Ryan and a sister, Malinda Newman.
Nancy is survived by her daughter, Malinda Ryan Kidd and her husband Brian of Murfreesboro, TN; son, Clayton Ryan and his wife Dana of Murfreesboro, TN; grandchildren, Catherine Blair Kidd and Anna Clayton Kidd both of Murfreesboro, TN; sister, Suzanne Maniscalco and her husband Carl of Sacramento, CA; brother, Joe Patty and his wife Libby of Murfreesboro, TN; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Robert and Susanne Adams of Murfreesboro, TN; sister-in-law Judy Ball of Murfreesboro, TN; and numerous nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.
Nancy was a member of Third Baptist Church and a retired educator, having taught at Central Middle School and Seigel Middle School, among other Rutherford County Schools. She loved growing up on a farm and loved riding horses.
Nancy had a passion for coaching and coached tennis, basketball, swimming, and softball. She loved being outdoors, staying active and animals including her dog Boomer and cat Bella.
Nancy was a wonderful wife, mom, and Grammy. She loved spending time with her family and especially her granddaughters. Nancy loved her time in Adams Place Independent Living and enjoyed the activities and making many wonderful new friends. All of her family and friends will deeply miss her, but we rejoice that she is with her Lord and Savior.
Visitation with the family will be held Tuesday from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Pastor Steve Hutson officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
