Gertrude “Trudy” Pollard Weldy of Smyrna, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, September 1, 2022, she was 96 years old.
A native of Kenly, NC, she was the daughter of the late Matthew Paul and Louvenia Latta Pollard. Mrs. Weldy was also preceded in death by her husband, Frank Weldy; sons, Leonard W. Morris, Jr., and Bill Morris; brothers Willis and Mark Pollard; and sister, Carolyn B. Hufford.
Mrs. Weldy is survived by her daughter, Phyllis A. Razo of Smyrna, TN; grandchildren, Michele Reding, Matthew Razo, Troy and Scott Morris; great-grandchildren, Johnathan, Taylor, Matthew, Maximus, Mia, Arya, and Avvy; and a great-great-grandson, Jaxon.
Mrs. Weldy was a member of Abiding Faith Lutheran Church.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM Monday at Abiding Faith Lutheran Church. Funeral service will be 4:00 PM at the church following the visitation with Pastor Keith Schleis officiating. Graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday at Roselawn Memorial Gardens with Johnathan Reding, Scott Morris, Mark Wilbanks, Robert Benson, Myron Pflueger, and William Reding serving as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Abiding Faith Lutheran Church in memory of Mrs. Weldy.
