Murfreesboro Police Arrest Suspect on Aggravated Assault After Stabbing

On Saturday, August 10, 2018, at approximately 7:25 PM, Murfreesboro Police Officers
responded to a call of a fight at 1025 Old Fort Parkway (Old Fort Park). Upon arrival, officers found an adult male victim suffering from multiple stab wounds. He was treated on scene by Murfreesboro Fire Rescue Department personnel and Rutherford County Emergency Medical Services who then transported to St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital for transfer to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

The investigation on scene revealed a physical altercation had occurred which resulted in the victim being stabbed. The suspect, Joshua Kolwalski (2/4/1983) of Murfreesboro, was
apprehended on scene and was booked into the Rutherford County Sherriff’s Department
charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault. He is being held under $50,000 bond.

The victim has been identified as Martin Kobe (11/25/1956) of Murfreesboro. He remains in
critical condition at this time.
