Fuzzy’s Tacos Coming To ‘Boro

Fuzzy’s Taco Shop®, a Baja-style, fast-casual Mexican restaurant, has leased a 3,552-square-foot retail space at Fountains at Gateway, the new Class A office and retail development located at 1500 Medical Center Parkway in Murfreesboro, announced developer Scott Graby, president of Hearthstone Properties. The Texas-based restaurant concept is known for its casual, fun atmosphere, wide array of fresh, handmade food and outstanding service as well as full bar service with margaritas and a selection of draft and craft beers. Restaurant industry veterans Sean Chambers and Richard Phillips own the Fuzzy’s Taco Shop franchise for the Nashville -Davidson—Rutherford—Williamson area and selected Murfreesboro as their first location. Chambers was in restaurant management in Texas for 16 years and Phillips in restaurant and franchise business development for eight years. They previously worked at Fuzzy’s corporate office in Fort Worth, Texas.

“We are thrilled to announce that Fountains at Gateway in Murfreesboro will be the first Fuzzy’s Taco Shop in Tennessee,” said Chambers, operating partner for the franchise group. “Fountains at Gateway offers everything we were hoping to find for our flagship Fuzzy’s store, including an ideal location, unique amenities and strong customer appeal.”

“Fuzzy’s will bring a flavorful, new Mexican restaurant to Murfreesboro and also play an active role in the community,” Chambers continued. “My family and I live and work in Murfreesboro and we look forward to being good neighbors and hands-on restaurant owners. With plans to open in spring 2017, we are excited that Fuzzy’s will be among the first tenants to open in the new Fountains development.”

Graby said Fuzzy’s Taco Shop is a great fit for the Fountains at Gateway development and Murfreesboro. “Fuzzy’s is one of the hottest, fast-casual Mexican concepts in the country and adds to the synergy of the carefully selected mix of restaurant we’re assembling at Fountains. We visited one of their locations in Texas and were won over by the combination of their food quality and playful atmosphere that will make them totally unique in Murfreesboro. The restaurant’s patio will open onto one of our pocket parks, offering a fun gathering place for an office lunch or evening outing with family and friends. We are so delighted that Sean and Richard chose Fountains at Gateway as their first location in Tennessee.”

Fuzzy’s Taco Shop will be located on the ground floor of One Fountain Plaza, the new 107,000-square-foot office building at Fountains at Gateway.

About Fountains at Gateway

Fountains at Gateway is a 31-acre, Class A mixed-use development located at 1500 Medical Center Parkway in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. The $80 million development will include 400,000 square feet of office space in three office buildings, 70,000 square feet of retail in three free-standing buildings and street-level retail space in the office buildings, as well as a 100-unit apartment community and a mid-size business hotel. Phase one of the development includes a four-story, 107,000-square-foot office building and an 11,000-square-foot retail building. The office building is now complete and site work is nearing completion. The first retail building is underway and will be completed in spring 2017. .
