Mr. Wayne Zeno Henderson, Sr. beloved husband, father, grandpa, brother, and friend went home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 30, 2019 at the age of 77. Mr. Henderson was born in Chesnee, SC. He was a graduate of Clemson University and served his country in the Army National Guard. Mr. Henderson retired after a long career as a salesman from Arrow Automotive Industries. He has lived in the middle Tennessee area since 1968.
Mr. Henderson loved talking about old cars and spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed reading and all types of food, but particularly barbeque. He was a faithful member of Franklin Road Baptist Church for over 25 years.
Mr. Henderson is survived by his wife of 54 years, Deloris Henderson; son, Wayne Henderson Jr. and his wife Sarah of Nolensville, TN and Britt Henderson and his wife Kristi of Rockvale, TN; grandchildren, Adler Puckett, Emma Laughlin, Brigham Henderson, Kara Henderson, and Heidi Henderson; brother, Dwight Henderson and his wife Nancy of Cartersville, GA; sister, Wanda Ezell and her husband Dan of Seneca, SC; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Britton and Jurene Henderson, and a brother, Preston Henderson.
Visitation with the family will be held on Thursday, September 5, 2019 from 9:00am until 11:00am at Franklin Road Baptist Church. Funeral services will be Thursday, September 5, 2019 at 11:00am at Franklin Road Baptist Church. Pastor Mike Norris will officiate. Burial will take place in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
