Bobby Gene Burnett Sr, age 76, passed away on Friday, December 9, 2022 at Ascension St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital.
Bobby served in the United States Army, including a tour in Iraq, before retiring after thirty-three years of service. He was a parts salesman and manager while serving in the military. Bobby attended Farris Chapel United Methodist Church. He loved landscaping, gardening and spending time with his grandchildren.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Hollis Burnett and mother, Ocie Sanders Burnett; step-daughter, Karen Alice Dutkanicz; two brothers, James and Doyle Burnett.
Bobby is survived by his wife, Marcee Martin Burnett; three sons, Bobby Burnett Jr, Michael (Christine) Burnett and Troy Burnett; two step-sons, Joseph Dutkanicz and Tim Dutkanicz; two sisters, Betty (Danny) Elliot and Jerry (Robert) Goins; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The visitation for Bobby will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, December 12, 2022 at Jennings & Ayers. The chapel service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at Jennings & Ayers with Bob Tuttle officiating. The burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
