âItâs just a reminder that if you keep working hard, keep grinding and keep pushing though that good things will happen for you,â Byard said. âYou never know when your number is going to get called, whether itâs with the twos or ones. You have to keep working to be consistent and be better than the day before. Thatâs definitely something Iâve been striving for.”
Kevin Byard isnât used to sitting, watching and waiting his turn. Â So when Byard, the Titans third-round pick from MTSU, got the chance to move up and work with the second team beginning Tuesday, it was the first step in what he believes is just the beginning of his journey with the Tennessee Titans.
âItâs definitely not my goal. My goal is not to run with the twos; my goal is to run with the ones. Itâs a humbling situation. I just have to keep getting better, and keep being patient and control the things I can control. Let the coaches coach and when youâre number is called, just go in there and try to make plays, and thatâs what Iâve been trying to do.â
