February 12, 2024 – One man died after being shot by a second man he knew during an argument Friday afternoon on Twin Oak Drive, a Rutherford County detective sergeant said.
David Hager of Twin Oak Drive died at the scene, said Detective Sgt. Joe Duncan.
Deputies responded to the call off Halls Hill Pike where they found Hager and the second man.
“He’s been interviewed and is cooperating,” Duncan said.
Sheriff’s detectives interviewed the second man and witnesses. They collected evidence at the scene.
“No charges have been filed at this time,” Duncan said.
Detectives plan to discuss the results of their investigation with the district attorney’s office.
The investigation remains ongoing this weekend.
