Description of Offense : Fraud

On 5/14/18 at 1456 hours Officer A was dispatched to a residence in reference to a fraud. On arrival contact was made with the complainant. The complainant stated that she had been getting a lot of emails in reference to items being sold on Craigslist that she had never seen before.

The complainant was contacted by what she thought was Google but somehow got in contact with “Andy Belfort” at “Google.” The complainant was instructed and did purchase six Google Play cards for a total of $300.00 and give the activation codes to “Andy.”

The complainant stated she got in touch with an actual representative of Google who informed her of the scam.
