Description of Offense : Theft Under 1,000 , Assault
On the date of 5/11/18 Officer A responded to Walmart at 2012 Memorial Blvd in reference to an assault and a theft. On my arrival the officer made contact with the victim. The victim advised on the above date she was working in the store as loss prevention. The victim advised while standing near the front door of the store two black females and a black male approached the front door while pushing a shopping cart with items listed below.
ITEMS : 3 x FoodSavers ($513.96) , 1 x air bed ($134.96) and hygiene products ($99.99)
The victim advised these items were not bagged so she requested to see a receipt for the items. The victim advised one of the females stated they had a receipt and reached in her purse. The victim advised that the female pulled pepper spray out of her purse and sprayed her with it before fleeing the area without the shopping cart or items.
While on scene the officer spoke with another employee who was able to pull up video of the incident. The officer and employee observed two younger black females : one that appeared heavy set and one thin build as well as a younger black male that appeared to be thin build with long hair. There is no further information on this incident at this time. A detective was made aware of this incident.
