Description of Offense : Theft Under $1,000
On 5/11/2018 at 1849 hours I arrived at 117 S.E. Broad Street in reference to a theft call. Upon arrival the officer made contact with the store manager who advised that on that day at 1830 hours he witnessed an unidentified white male and an unidentified white female enter the grocery store. The manager stated the couple then put a rack of ribs and a package of steaks in their pants and ran out of the store.
When the manager ran outside in an attempt to stop them he witnessed the couple drive off in his direction, heading out of the parking lot towards Gold’s Gym. The manager was unable to provide exact amounts of merchandise or show any video of the incident.
