Police Report : Road rage leads to gun threat, head-on collision

Description of Offense : Aggravated Assault, Leaving the Scene of an Accident, Vandalism Under $1000

On 5/12/18 at 1029 hours Officer A responded to a hit-and-run accident at the intersection of Medical Center Parkway and Thompson Lane. Upon arrival the officer made contact with the victim who advised he was traveling north on Thompson Lane when he attempted to merge left into the left turning lane to Medical Center Parkway when a white male wearing  an orange t-shirt cut him off.

The victim swerved back into the traveling lane and around the other vehicle which is described as a red Ford Expedition with large silver rims when the driver of the Ford brandished a black handgun at the victim. The victim drove down Thompson when the Ford began to follow him. The victim did a u-turn back toward the intersection and Ford followed. The victim did another u-turn on Thompson at Medical Center when the Ford drove in to oncoming traffic and rammed his vehicle head on.

The Ford left the scene through the Ross parking lot. The suspect is described as possibly being [NAME OMITTED]. The red Ford’s tag returned to [NAME OMITTED] but the victim could not positively identify the suspect at this time. The victim stated he was fearful when the driver of the red Ford pointed the gun at him. He was visibly shaken and had accelerated speech and actions.
