A suspect wanted for felony sale of cocaine was apprehended after sheriffâs narcotics detectives and Murfreesboro Policeâs Directed Patrol located him Friday outside a Medical Center Parkway business, a sheriffâs supervisor said Tuesday.
Suspect Orlando Chesterfield, 37, of North Academy Street in Murfreesboro was arrested after narcotics detectives did surveillance on the business, said Sheriffâs Narcotics Detective Sgt. Will Holton.
âA search of his person revealed approximately an ounce of crack cocaine, one ounce of heroin and various prescription narcotics,â Holton said.
After receiving information about Chesterfieldâs location, Narcotics Detectives requested assistance from Murfreesboro Policeâs Directed Patrol. They arrested Chesterfield.
Chesterfield was charged with felony possession of crack cocaine, felony possession of heroin and additional drug charges by Murfreesboro Police. He is being held on $67,000 bond at Rutherford County Adult Detention Center. A hearing is set Aug. 8 in General Sessions Court.
