October 18, 2023 – The continuing investigation into the August 8 fatal shooting of Israel Teniente, 17, in a breezeway of Falcon View Apartments on E. Palestine Avenue in Madison led to Tuesday night’s arrest of Arleth Bonilla, 18, an acquaintance of the victim, on a charge of facilitating criminal homicide.
Information developed as the result of a Crime Stoppers tip and a review of cell phone data led detectives to determine that Bonilla lured Teniente to the apartment complex on behalf of a third party, who is believed to have shot him. The investigation into the third party is continuing.
Homicide Unit Detective Ben Hughes is the lead investigator on this case.
