Robert Blaine Hahn, (better known as Bob or RB) age 90 of Murfreesboro, died Sunday, December 1, 2019. He was a native of Belmond, Iowa and was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Delores Ann Love; his son, Paul Robert Hahn; his brother Bill Hahn, and his parents, Helen Bates Hahn and Lawrence Hahn.

Mr. Hahn was a resident of the Tennessee State Veterans Home where he relocated eight years ago from Iowa to be closer to his daughter. He completed the 8th grade from Swaledale, Iowa and eventually joined the Navy at age 17, where he served in Guam at the end of WW2. He held a variety of jobs in his life but found that driving truck suited his lifestyle and retired from that career after 15 years. He enjoyed spending time with his friends at the Belmond Community Center and with his home care nurse, Linda Rasmusson. While in TN he enjoyed taking walks and sitting outdoors, listening to books on tape and engaging in conversations with family and all visitors. The nurses loved him and found him to be ‘grumpy and sweet’ all at once.

He is survived by his daughter, Deanna Hahn Little and husband Windell Little, and grandson, TJ Little, all of Murfreesboro, TN, daughters-in-law, Jolene Hahn of Garner, Iowa and Kathy Ulferts of Forest City, Iowa; grandchildren, Mitch Hahn of Forest City, Iowa, Matt Hahn of Ceylon, Minnesota, Megan Schmidt of Garner, Iowa and 6 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service and burial will be held in Belmond, Iowa at a date yet to be determined. Local arrangements are under the direction of Woodfin Memorial Chapel and an online guestbook is available for the Hahn family at www.woodfinchapel.com.
