Charles Lee “Chuck” Kenimond, 62, of Milton, TN, formerly of Bringhurst, IN passed away Sunday, August 19, 2018 at his home after a short but valiant battle with cancer. He was the son of Thelma (Milligan) Emry and William Kenimond. He married Kathy Huffman in 1976.

A 1974 graduate of Kokomo High School, he worked in construction before going to work for Chrysler Corporation, retiring in 2008. During his time with Chrysler he held various positions with United Autoworkers 685, working tirelessly to help his fellow employees.

Chuck was a life-long Harley enthusiast traveling the U.S. by motorcycle with his wife, Kathy. He was a founding member of Milwaukee Iron Motorcycle Club and remained active with them for 40 years. After his retirement he relocated to Flagler Beach, FL for more sunny days and time fishing. But soon his love for his two grand-daughters prompted a move to Milton, TN to be closer to them. He stayed busy as the best Papaw ever and had recently opened a small motorcycle service business, Milton Motorcycle Repair.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy, Milton, TN; daughter and son-in-law, Dr. Holly and Scott Spooner, Lascassas, TN; grandchildren, Grace and Gentry Spooner, Lascassas, TN; father William Kenimond (Arlene Hopf), Titusville, FL; sister Deborah (Cletus) Kruse, Louisville, KY; sister-in-law Sherry (Rodger) Murray, Peru, IN; brother-in-law Robert Huffman, Kokomo, IN; a niece, Lindsey Williams and family; several aunts, uncles, cousins; and his MIMC family. He was preceded in death by his mother.

A celebration of life will be held at The Carpenter’s House, 37 W 550 N, Kokomo, IN at 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 25, with a reception to follow at the Milwaukee Iron Motorcycle Club House, 111 E Monroe, Kokomo, IN. Friends are invited to call 1 hour prior to the service or to join the family after at MIMC. A memorial ride to the service will depart from the MIMC clubhouse.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alive Hospice of Murfreesboro, TN in memory of Chuck.
