A vehicle was stolen just after 7am on Berele Shepsele Lane in La Vergne, when the owner left the car unattended with the keys in the ignition and the garage door open.
La Vergne Police Dept. located the vehicle on Murfreesboro Road, where a short pursuit took place. The pursuit was terminated for public safety reasons when the vehicle traveled at a high speed rate on the shoulder of Murfreesboro Road toward Nashville.
With the weather getting cooler La Vergne Police would like to remind all citizens to not leave their car running unattended. LPD are still seeking the car and suspect.
