Christ Presbyterian prevailed in a battle of unbeaten teams, picking up a 48-26 road win at Smyrna on Friday.
CPA’s Sam West had scoring runs for the Lions (3-0), while Blake Watkins had a 97-yard kickoff return for the Bulldogs.
West had a 75-yard score, putting CPA up 28-20 with 7:24 left in the second quarter.
Earlier, West had a 21-yard run to give the Lions a 21-7 edge. Before that, he recovered a fumble to set up his own 54-yard scoring run.
CPA has a huge home showdown with Pearl-Cohn next week. Smyrna host Blackman in a big non-region game next Friday.
