” At approximately 1 am this morning (June 22, 2018), Smyrna Police responded to a shooting at the Sullivan’s Sports Bar at 701 President’s Place. Upon arrival, they located a shooting victim laying in the parking lot. Officers rendered aid until Rutherford County EMS arrived and transported the victim to Stonecrest Medical Center. The victim was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at Stonecrest.
We will not release the victim’s identity until we can confirm proper notification to family. This is an active and on-going investigation and we are following leads regarding the suspect.
