Linda-Perkey

Linda Perkey, beloved mother to Angie (Perkey) Adams and devoted wife of Dan Perkey of Rockvale, TN, passed away peacefully on November 19, 2024, leaving a void that her family cannot fill.

Linda was born in Garden City Michigan to Vhay and James Bonsall. Linda was one of eight children and valued family above all.

She graduated from Wayne Memorial High School in 1969. She later earned an Associate’s Degree in Business and became a certified dog groomer in 1989. She soon went into business for herself and opened her own dog grooming shop, Perkey’s Pet Parlor in 1992. Outside of being a mom and grandmother, her shop was her pride and joy. She enjoyed serving her community and made several lifelong friends.

Linda loved fiercely and was a friend and advocate of all animals. If an animal in need crossed her path, it was quickly loved, nursed to health and spayed/neutered. She rescued dozens and dozens of animals over the years.

She also adored her home and property in Rockvale. It was truly her sanctuary. Linda was also a woman of faith and attended St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. She was the living example of generosity, tenacity and Christ’s love.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents Vhay and James Bonsall; her brother James Bonsall; and her stepson Thomas Perkey.

Linda is survived by her husband Dan Perkey; her daughter Angie (Jeffrey) Adams; stepdaughter Lisa (Jerry) Czajkowski; step son Jim (Renay) Perkey; and grandchildren Annabelle & Dylan Adams, Olivia, Laney and Jacey Czajkowski, Eric, Alec and Cullen Perkey.

She is also survived by her siblings Laura Wilcox, Amber (Joe) Fabbri, Russ (Denise) Bonsall, Robert (Lori) Bonsall, Ron (Sue) Bonsall and Kurt Bonsall.

We will never forget the love and joy she brought to our lives.

There will be a private family viewing at 10 a.m. on Friday, November 22, 2024, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Following the mass, all are invited to fellowship at Dan and Linda’s Rockvale home. https://www.smithfamilyfcs.com
