Today, Oct 26, Just Love Coffee will kick-off a month-long celebration to mark its 10-year anniversary and planned expansion of its socially-conscious specialty coffee shops nationwide.

Join Just Love Coffee founders, brewers, friends and customers where it all began in their original location (129 MTCS Drive, Murfreesboro) Saturday, Oct. 26, from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. with a milestone celebration offering menu item samples, a waffle eating contest, coffee demos, giveaways, and more.

The celebration continues as the fast-growing franchise celebrates throughout the month of November — which is National Adoption Awareness Month — by encouraging adoptive families and their supporters to participate in the brand’s online fundraising program. Since their start in 2009, Just Love Coffee has contributed nearly $500,000 towards adoption helping over 2300 families across the country and providing support to other non-profit causes such as orphanages and clean water systems in Africa.

“Just Love Coffee is rooted in the story of my family’s adoption,” said Founder and CEO, Rob Webb, who with his wife Emily and his children Charlie and Isabel, adopted two children, Tigist and Amelie. Their adoptions inspired the Webb’s to start an e-commerce business in 2009 that supported families seeking to adopt internationally through fundraising.

The Webb’s converted an 800-square foot space in Murfreesboro with a small roaster, developed a few roasting profiles, set up a simple e-commerce storefront, put the word out on Facebook, and waited. The business took off quickly and Just Love Coffee Roasters, a for-profit venture dedicated to giving away a portion of its profits, was born. Almost $100,000 was given back to the community in the first year proving that a socially-minded enterprise could work.

What started in an 800-square foot warehouse has evolved into a nationally-recognized franchise with 30 franchise agreements in place to open locations in 9 states. Just Love Coffee announces plans to open 36 additional locations nationwide in 2020 and a goal to open nearly 200 in another five years. The brand currently employs more than 200 employees system-wide with approximately 100 employees based in Middle Tennessee.

“Love for family, community, and coffee is at the heart of the company, and its commitment to these values and a quality food and beverage menu has been key to Just Love’s growth,” said Webb. “We are now hoping to take it to the next level by supporting franchisees who believe in our business model and mission.”

The specialty coffee roasting company bridges the gap between the high-brow coffee experience and the fast-casual coffee shop by offering a third-wave experience to its customers in a relaxed, friendly setting.

In addition to supplying quality, hand-brewed, single-origin options, Just Love Coffee’s diverse menu features other sweeter, blended drinks like the White Chocolate Tiramisu or Toffee Coffee lattes, and a unique food menu of waffle items with signature entrees like the Womelette.

Customers attending Saturday’s event in Murfreesboro can show their love for Barnabas Vision, Just Love Coffee’s latest partnership, by participating in a coffee-giveaway fundraising effort for the non-profit.
