The victory improves the Warriors to 8-1-1 overall this season, while the Red Hawks dipped to 4-5.
In other Rutherford County action, Siegel avenged Wednesday’s loss to Oakland as the Stars blanked the Patriots behind a three-hit complete-game effort from pitcher Zach Pearson.
Drew Benefield and Ryker Kristinus both had three RBIs apiece for the Stars, who pushed their record to 7-2. Oakland fell to 3-3.
LaVergne picked up it second win of the season, downing Smyrna 4-1, as Anthony Norman picked up the victory on the mound for the Wolverines, who improved to 2-5 overall.
Central Magnet School continued its winning ways, edging Ooltewah, 5-4, in eight innings. Hayden Locum had three hits for the Tigers, who ran their record to 6-1 on the season.
Blackman’s D.J. Wright went 3-for-3 and drove in three runs as the Blaze routed Coffee County,
15-0.
