Raiders have 11 of 12 Games on TV

Conference USA announced its preliminary television schedule for the 2017 football season on Wednesday and Middle Tennessee will have 11 of its 12 games televised. The Blue Raiders will have national broadcasts on seven different outlets, including all four of the league’s primary television partners.

National C-USA games will be broadcast on traditional linear television this season on ESPN Networks, CBS Sports Network, Stadium (formerly ASN and Campus Insiders) and beIN SPORTS. The Blue Raiders will also appear on the Big Ten Network and the ACC Network.

Additionally, there will be a significant number of games that will be made available through streaming and through social media entities such as Twitter and Facebook Live.

Middle Tennessee will open the 2017 campaign at home against neighboring SEC rival Vanderbilt on Sept. 2. The Blue Raiders and Commodores will kickoff at 7 p.m. CT on the CBS Sports Network.

The Raiders will then hit the road in consecutive weeks against Syracuse and Minnesota. Both games will kickoff at 2:30 p.m. CT with the Syracuse contest being shown on the ACC Network Extra and the contest against the Golden Gophers appearing on the Big Ten Network.

Middle Tennessee will return home on Sept. 23 to host Bowling Green for Family Day and the annual Hall of Fame game. Kick off is set for 6 p.m. CT and television is still to be determined.

The Blue Raiders will open conference play on Sept. 30 at FAU in a game that will be broadcast on Stadium at 6 p.m. before returning to Murfreesboro to face FIU on Homecoming Oct. 7. MT and FIU will kick at 2 p.m. CT and the game will be shown on ESPN3.

MT will then travel to Birmingham to take on UAB for the first time since 2014. The game will begin at 5:30 p.m. and be shown on beINSports.

The Blue Raiders will return home for a Friday night national broadcast on ESPN2 against Marshall on Oct. 20. Kick-off is set for 6 p.m. CT.

UTEP comes to Murfreesboro the following week for a 6:30 p.m. contest on beINSports before the Blue Raiders travel to Charlotte on Nov. 11 for a 1 p.m. CT contest on ESPN3.

The Blue Raiders will play their second Friday night game of the year on Nov. 17 when they travel to Bowling Green to take on rival WKU. The 7 p.m. CT kickoff will be broadcast on CBS Sports Network and will mark the latest these two teams have played in a season since 2010 (Nov. 20).

Middle Tennessee will wrap-up the 2017 regular season at home against Old Dominion on Nov. 25. The Senior Day game will begin at 2 p.m. on ESPN3.

The 2017 C-USA Championship game on Saturday, Dec. 2 is scheduled to air on either ESPN or ESPN 2. It marks the 13th-straight year that the C-USA Championship will air on the ESPN Networks. ESPN is also scheduled to carry all six of C-USA’s bowl games in which it has a guaranteed selection.
