Description Of Offense : Theft Under $1000
On 12/20/17 at 1301 hours Officer A was dispatched to a home on Allen Avenue in reference to someone stealing a package from the porch of an address. The officer called the complainant and spoke to him as he was a witness to the theft.
The complainant said that ” he looked out of his house window and saw a tall, thin black male, approximately 20-30 years old wearing a grey sweater and blue shoes, standing in the roadway near the trash cans.
The complainant advised the subject kept looking around as if watching for cars before stealing a small package and fleeing on West Clark Boulevard towards the car wash.
Officer A spoke with the victim who said she did not hear or see anything and that she believes the property ( an Elf On The Shelf doll in an Amazon box ) is the only property that could have been stolen.
The officer was in the area at the time of the call but had no contact with the suspect.
