Murfreesboro Police Department’s 911 center has received several calls about someone claiming to be a Lieutenant Troy Black with the Murfreesboro Police Department and advising local residents they have warrants for their arrest.
Beware if the scammer calls you, please do not become a victim, simply hang up.
MPD will not call you about a warrant, request payment over the phone, via a money service app nor using gift cards.
