Unveiled Bridal Show Takes the Stress Out of Wedding Planning

She walked in beauty like the night down the aisle in a satin ball gown that’s crystal beading twinkled like stars. Regal and sophisticated, she held her head high, as her chapel length train trailed behind. Her bouquet overflowed with exotic greenery and magnolia blossoms cascading before her.

These are some of the top trends for brides in 2019. These and other wedding ideas will be shown at Unveiled, the DoubleTree Hotel’s first time ever Bridal Show. On March 16, brides to be will be able to see a wedding and reception set up, and talk to event planners, stylists, photographers, videographers, boutiques, and much more about planning their perfect wedding.

How Much Time Needed to Plan?

While a simple wedding can be planned in about two months, most weddings take about a year. Invitations should go out six to eight weeks before the wedding. Most venues and caterers are booked up months or even years in advance. Wedding gowns need at least two months to be ordered and altered. Taking time to plan lessens the stress and allows a couple to have the wedding of their dreams.

Envision What You Want

Get a planning book, you can create your own, or purchase one with all kinds of helpful hints, there are also a bunch of apps that help with wedding planning.

Pull ideas out of bridal magazines and/or start a Pinterest board. Think about formality, location, colors, and, of course, your dress. Take a cue from the television show Four Weddings. Think about the overall feel of the wedding. Does it express the two of you? And will it be fun for quests?

You don’t want your guests too warm, too cold, standing for too long, bored, or eating cold food. It’s a lot to think about.

At Unveiled, potential brides and their guests will be able to sip a complimentary Mimosa and browse over twenty vendors to gain ideas to put into their idea book.

Venue, Food, Transportation

Location, location, location can set the tone for the whole event. The ceremony may take place at a church, followed by the reception at another location, or it might all take place at one location.

DoubleTree staff members will be there to explain how to plan your special day all at one location. Or you may wish to go with the current trend and get married out in the country. There are a number of rustic venues in the area.

A rustic location can make food complicated, or it can make everything more casual. You can get married in a barn and have a farm-to-table dinner for your guests under the stars or perhaps a brunch on mismatched vintage plates.

Julia’s Homestyle Bakery will be at the Bridal Fair to talk about how to have the ultimate wedding cake, from the traditional tiered cake, to a themed one. Some brides have even done cupcake cakes.

Unveiled will be providing a number of ideas, from the classic limousine to a vintage truck, to keep the rustic theme alive. And you might want to get your guests from point A to B in a Nashville Trolley. They are hot right now in the area.

Pampering and Beauty

Hair, make-up, nails, and a bit of spa pampering keep the bride and her bridal party feeling nurtured and beautiful. They can go to one or more locations getting everything done, or some stylists will come to you, and bring a masseuse with them.

Brides will receive complimentary 30-minute massages in their goodie bags at Unveiled, to keep them cool during the planning process.

Dress and the Rest

Finding the perfect dress, and ending with the perfect honeymoon location can be equally fun. When trying on dresses, keep an open mind. As often happens on Say Yes to the Dress, the best dress is not always what you envision.

And when planning a honeymoon, it can be someplace to chill. Or the trip of a lifetime.
