If you’re looking for traditional Thai food, check out Thida Thai in Smyrna at 10644 Cedar Grove Road. Its vast menu features popular Thai dishes like Pad Thai, Fried Rice, Sushi and Poke Bowls and specialty dishes, ensuring everyone will find something they like!

“We have so much variety,” said Amy Anousinh, manager of Thida Thai, “our customers like to come back over and over again to try new things.”

Thida Thai’s specialty is a dish called Pan Garpon, which Anousinh describes as more like traditional Thai food. It is a spicy Thai holy basil stir-fry chicken dish with bell pepper, onion, Thai chili, garlic, and their special sauce served with a fried egg on top. It is also available in a pork version, and now in seafood.

Their most popular meal is Pad Thai. It is stir-fried rice noodles with Pad Thai sauce, egg, green onions, bean sprouts, and crushed peanuts. One of their versions of the dish is Duck Pad Thai.

Curry is another very popular item. They offer a number of different curry varieties — including red, green, yellow, and Panang. Panang has a sweet and salty flavor.

Most of their customers begin dinner with the Appetizer Sampler Number Two. It offers a large assortment of tasty morsels, including Chicken Satay, Fried and Steamed Dumplings, Gyoza, and something called Shrimp Blanket. Shrimp Blanket is deep fried marinated shrimp wrapped in rice paper and stuffed with chicken, celery, onion, cilantro, then served with a sweet Thai chili sauce.

One of their other tasty appetizers is steamed potstickers. They are filled with chicken, pork, and onion wrapped into a wonton, served with Panang Curry Sauce and tempura crunch.

Some of their newest additions to the menu are sure to keep their clientele coming back again and again: Sukiyaki Seafood Bowl, Clay Pot Steamed Mussels, and Barbecued Short Ribs.

For those loving sushi, there are many, many options on the menu. Their most popular is the Thida Bistro Roll, followed by the Valentino Roll. For vegans, there is the Green Dragon roll.

Salads and soups are also on the menu. One of their most unique salads is the Papaya Salad with peanut lime sauce. Another worth trying is the Beef Salad. It is made from thinly sliced pieces of cooked beef, cucumber, tomato, red onion, green onion, cilantro, shredded carrots, and lime dressing.

Top your meal off with a refreshing Bubble Tea in flavors such as Taro, Strawberry, Honeydew. Thai Tea, Mango, and Green Tea.

The relaxing atmosphere and beautiful presentation of the food at Thida Thai will make for a wonderful luncheon or dinner.
