1,000s of fans will make the annual trip to Murfreesboro for the TSSAA Girls Championships this week and the Boys Championships next week. Add to that the Mr. and Ms. Basketball Finalists Ceremony tomorrow evening and the high school dance is upon us. Expected to bring in $3.0 million in revenue, the city and Chamber have rolled out the red carpet for 24 visiting teams this week as the Girl’s Championships kicks off Wednesday.

With the construction of Middle Tennessee Boulevard well underway , and yet another hot spot on Old Fort Parkway going into Downtown, it will take a certain amount of patience when navigating through The ‘boro this year. Here’s what fans need to know:

Construction Hot Spots

TSSAA State Championships Traffic MapPlease note that there will be construction at the intersection of Broad Street and Memorial / Old Fort Parkway during the time of the TSSAA Basketball Championships. In addition, traffic will be reduced to one lane each direction on Middle Tennessee Blvd. just south of Faulkinberry Drive (between Ewing Blvd. and East Main St.). To avoid delays in getting to your events, please use alternate routes to avoid these areas. Team buses will enter MTSU at Champions Way, not Faulkinberry Drive. The campus entrance at Faulkinberry Drive will be closed to incoming traffic. If you have questions regarding directions to any of the venues, please call the Chamber of Commerce at (615) 893-6565 or 1-800-716-7560

This is not the only construction in and around Murfreesboro. For a complete list click here. For Live traffic map click here.
