Songwriters Under the Stars Returns to Cheekwood

Cheekwood Estate & Gardenswill bring back its popular Songwriters Under the Stars concert series for two evenings of music on the Swan Lawn. Click for More Events

The concerts will take place Aug. 21 and 22 at 7 p.m. and feature Grammy Award-winning songwriter Chris DeStefano and hit songwriting duo The Warren Brothers. The performers will share the stories behind some of their biggest songs while accompanied by the Music City Symphony.

This year’s event will also include a special tribute to the late singer-songwriter and producer Brett James, who was a longtime part of the Songwriters Under the Stars series.

DeStefano has written multiple No. 1 hits for artists including Carrie Underwood, Brett Eldredge, Luke Bryan, Rascal Flatts and Jason Aldean.
Brothers Brett and Brad Warren have written 10 No. 1 singles, with songs recorded by Tim McGraw, Toby Keith, Keith Urban, Faith Hill and other major artists. The Warren Brothers earned Grammy and CMA nominations for Tim McGraw’s “If You’re Reading This” and Martina McBride’s “Anyway.”

Guests may bring blankets or lawn chairs and enjoy seasonal beer, wine, craft cocktails and food from local food trucks and Perenn at Cheekwood.

Perenn is also offering food packages for preorder. The Garden Dinner Box serves one person and costs $35, while the Concert Appetizer Box serves two and is also priced at $35.

General admission tickets are $65 for Cheekwood members and $75 for nonmembers. Premium packages are $150 for members and $175 for nonmembers and include front-of-stage seating in a lawn chair, two drink tickets, premium parking and golf cart transportation to the concert area.
