Saturday’s Fatal Crash Victim Identity Released

The victim in the fatal motorcycle vs pickup crash on S. Rutherford Blvd. Saturday night has been identified as William Quinn, 26, of Murfreesboro, formerly of Camden, Tennessee. The motorcycle passenger, Colleen Healey, 51, of Camden, was stabilized at TriStar StoneCrest Hospital and later transported to Vanderbilt Medical Center. At last check, she was listed in stable condition.

The driver of the pickup, Teondre Wells, 24, of Murfreesboro, was not injured.

The crash remains under investigation by the Fatal Accident Crash Team (F.A.C.T.).

Murfreesboro, TN – On Saturday, July 20, 2019, at approximately 8:50 pm, Murfreesboro Police Officers responded to a serious injury crash involving a motorcycle and a pickup truck in 2700 block of S. Rutherford Blvd.

The preliminary investigation revealed the driver of a GMC Sierra pickup was exiting the Blue Apartments and attempted to turn onto S. Rutherford Blvd. and when it was struck on the side by the motorcycle.

Personnel with Rutherford County Emergency Medical Services (RCEMS), with assistance from Murfreesboro Fire Rescue Department, began treating the two motorcycle passengers on the scene. A male patient was transported to Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. The other passenger was transported to TriStar Stone Crest Medical Center. The driver of the pickup was not injured.

The name of the deceased victim will not be released until next of kin is notified.

The crash is under investigation by the Fatal Accident Crash Team (F.A.C.T.).
