Rutherford County Schools Dismissing 2 Hours Early

Because there is a chance that road conditions may worsen by the end of the day during the normal bus route times, Rutherford County Schools will be dismissing schools two hours early today, Feb. 20, 2019.

Buses will be running their routes as long as roads are passable. There are only a handful of roads that are currently listed as closed by the county. If a road is impassable, the students will be taken back to school. The schools will work with families who plan to pick up their children.

Two hours early means all schedules are moved back two hours early. For example, if your child’s school normally releases at 2:30 p.m., they will dismiss today at 12:30 p.m. The same applies for bus stop times.
