Middle Tennessee is back on the road to take on Vanderbilt on SEC Network+ Tuesday night at 6:30 p.m. at Hawkins Field.

Tuesday’s game will account for the 88th time the two programs have met. The Commodores took care of the Blue Raiders in Murfreesboro in April. VU leads the overall series 62-25.

The MT lineup continues to be a force with six of the nine starters batting .301 or better. The Blue Raiders rank 12th in the nation with 561 hits (2nd in C-USA) on the season and 50th in the country in scoring with 6.6 runs per game.

Slugger Ryan Kemp continues his impressive first-year campaign. The JUCO transfer is tops on the team (3rd in C-USA) with a .380 batting average. He is also second on the team (4th in C-USA) with a .640 slugging percentage. Kemp is currently on a 24-game reached base streak and 11-game hitting streak.

Several Blue Raiders rank atop the conference in different offensive categories. Senior shortstop Riley Delgado is 4th with 74 hits, designated hitter Aaron Aucker is 3rd in both slugging percentage at .650 and on-base percentage at .461.Austin Dennis ranks 4th in stolen bases (13).

Middle Tennessee has been solid defensively as well, ranking 66th in the country with a .974 fielding percentage.

The MT starter is TBA.

Vanderbilt is having an uncharacteristically down year, coming into the game unranked. The Commodores come into Tuesday’s game losing three of their last four contests.

The VU lineup is powerful, with five batters hitting .293 or better. Vanderbilt starter is TBA.
