The two men killed in a shooting at the Saddlebrook Apartments in Murfreesboro earlier this week have been identified.
Murfreesboro Police Department detectives identified the men as 27-year-old Zachery Brown and 32-year-old Thomas Rollins.
The shooting happened around 1:44 a.m. Tuesday, July 28, at the apartment complex. Officers found both men suffering from gunshot wounds, and Rutherford County Emergency Medical Services pronounced them dead at the scene.
The preliminary investigation indicates Brown shot and killed Rollins before taking his own life outside the F-building of the complex. Police said the two men knew each other.
The motive behind the shooting remains under investigation. There is no ongoing threat to the community.
