Here are our picks for Rutherford County Players of the Week, in descending order, for Week 6 of 2017.

Master Teague, running back, Blackman

Blackman vs Rhea County Football Score 08-25-17

Blackman’s run of undefeated dominance ended with a 42-21 loss to Oakland, but Master Teague had a nice game anyway. The Ohio State commit, sidelined recently with a minor injury, ran 20 times for 150 yards and two scores on Friday.

Brendan Crowell, quarterback, Siegel

Siegel was without star runner Lelan Wihoite on Friday, but quarterback Brendan Crowell picked up the slack. The 6-foot-6 quarterback threw 21 times, completing 13 for 252 yards and four touchdowns, with a long of 52. He also ran six times for a net of 15 yards. He’s posted video highlights of that game against Warren County, and you may see them here.

Savion Davis, running back, Riverdale

HS Football Week 4: Rutherford County Players of the Week

Davis makes a return appearance to our rankings this week. Riverdale’s star runner rushed for 175 yards and returned a kickoff 90 yards also, combining for five touchdowns. It was a big game for Warriors’ coach Will Kriesky, who defeated his twin brother, Matt, at Centennial on Friday.

Jeron Rooks, running back, Oakland

Rooks also makes a repeat appearance after his role in Oakland win over Blackmon. Rooks carried 16 times for 146 yards and two touchdowns, adding three catches for 32 yards and another score.

Woodi Washington, defensive back, Oakland

Washington’s two-interception, one-touchdown night in Oakland’s win over Blackman was impressive. When you consider that Washington gets credit for helping slow Trey Knox, America’s 14th-best junior in the 2019 class according to Rivals.com, his night is more impressive. Rivals ranks Washington as the No. 245 junior in the 2019 class, and you may see some video highlights of his season here.  (Photo courtesy of Rajayna Riley.)
