Louisiana Tech Bulldogs (14-7, 6-2)
Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders (19-3, 9-0)
The Murphy Center was Maxed Out Saturday Night
Tonight’s game summarized in one word, deafening! Throughout the course of the night the stands continued to amass blue faithful as if they were manifested out of thin air. The crowd was even more rocking than when MTSU took down Vanderbilt earlier this season.
As far as the game itself, it went back and forth all night long as there were four lead changes and six ties. Despite the intense environment LA Tech came to play, ultimately leading the game a minute longer than MT. For most of the night the referees were on notice from Raider nation. The reason? The lopsided stat line in fouls (24-14 in favor of LA Tech) had the them in a frenzy.
As the game came down to the finale minutes one of these teams were going to prove their mettle. That team would be MTSU. They would go on to pull away and win 71-61. A finale score not indicative of just how thoroughly competitive these two C-USA foes played each other. With this win the Raiders have now won nine straight games and remain undefeated in conference play.
Your Blue Raiders will travel to San Antonio as they take on the Roadrunners February 2nd at 7pm
