Friday night, Rutherford County foes will meet when Smyrna travel to west Murfreesboro and meet the Blaze. The game will be each teams second region game of the season.
The Blaze and Bulldogs come into this game on opposite ends of the spectrum in regards to their previous match ups last week. For the Blaze, they defeated their opponents soundly by the tune of 49-14 in a routing of Coffee County. While the Bulldogs were blanked for the first time since 2013. (Ironically enough, that shut out came in ’13 came against Blackman in the Playoffs) Smyrna’s 0-28 hammering last week came at the hands of CPA (Nashville).
In these two team’s last 10 meetings, Blackman hold the edge in record at seven to three over Smyrna. The Bulldogs last victory came back in 2010, but the rivalry has been one sided as of late. Kick off for tonight’s game is at 7 pm.
