At last week’s CRS (Country Radio Seminar) several Universal Music Group artists showcased new music in the works and we gotta say we can’t wait until they are released.
Little Big Town
Kicking off the performances, Little Big Town showcased a new ballad which they dedicated to all women and daughters. The song starts with Karen Fairchild singing, “Oh girl, wash your face before you come to the table- girl, know your place, be willing and able.” The song speaks to women’s voices not being as important as men’s. The title for their new song wasn’t announced.
Kassi Ashton
Debuting “Pretty Shiny Things,” the new and upcoming female artist’s song expresses how outer beauty is often more important to women than intelligence relating it to a mother-daughter relationship.
Dierks Bentley
Bentley will be bringing his “Burning Man Tour” to Bridgestone Arena on Friday, Feb. 22. But at the UMG luncheon he shared about life on the road and often he just sits on his bus and doesn’t venture out. His new song (title unknown) is about living instead of being alive, and taking advantage of everyday opportunities.
Keith Urban
Urban has been teasing new music on Instagram with a post that said, “New music…?!!!!.” During his performance at The Ryman, Urban brought his guitar and a track on his phone for the new song “We Were” but after technical difficulty with his phone, Urban continued with just the guitar but then stopped and said this song is so new I forgot the words. Urban shared not only is there a new song in the works but a new album coming soon.
Vince Gill
The country music veteran has been in the industry for 45 years and he has no intention of stopping now. Gill shared with the audience how he still likes to create new music and his latest song “Letter to My Mama” an intimate song about his mama will make you cry- we warned you.
