Vote Rutherford is seeing record interest from Rutherford County voters as the August 2026 election approaches, with thousands using the nonprofit’s website to research local candidates.
Since early voting began for the August election, more than 3,300 users have visited GoVoteRutherford.com to research candidates for local office. That follows more than 2,900 research sessions during the May 2026 election.
Vote Rutherford said the increased traffic could bring as many as 10,000 users to the site during the August election if current trends continue.
The nonprofit, which launched in March 2026, provides nonpartisan candidate information to help Rutherford County voters make informed decisions. Republican, Democratic and independent candidates have participated, including candidates for U.S. House Districts 4 and 9, as well as local races.
“Voting uninformed isn’t fair for us, the candidates, or our democracy, and I’m so excited to play a part in ensuring that our local elections have better information available,” said Vote Rutherford Co-President Joshua Jensen.
