TNReady testing was supposed to begin today. According to the following statement from Rutherford County Schools, the Tenessee Department of Education reported a technical glitch. The statement from Rutherford County Schools is as follows:

Parents, we want to update you about the TNReady assessments that were scheduled to begin today. Shortly after beginning testing today, there was a technology failure at the state level, which prevented us from continuing the test. The Tennessee Department of Education advised all school districts to halt testing and return to normal instruction.

We want to emphasize that this technology failure was not caused by Rutherford County Schools. Our network and new computers worked as they were intended. We are eagerly awaiting an update from the state about when and how we should move forward. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we wait to receive a response from state education officials. We will keep parents informed with all pertinent information.
