The 44th Annual Smyrna Christmas Parade takes place Sunday, December 2nd beginning at 2:00pm. This year’s theme is “Songs of the Season”.
Folks of all ages will gather along Lowry Street in anticipation of the arrival of floats, bands, classic cars, riding clubs, dancers and, of course, Santa Claus as they glide northbound on Lowry Street from Mayfield Drive toward Sam Ridley Parkway.
Cash prizes will be awarded to 4 entries:
Mayor’s Cup – $150
Most Creative – $100
Best Use of Theme – $100
Best Christmas Spirit – $100
This year, organizers are asking the community to bring a donation to the parade route for the Nourish Food Bank of Smyrna.
The parade will be broadcast live on Smyrnaâs Channel 3 on Comcast as well as Channel 99 on AT&Tâs U-verse system. The program will also be available via live streaming on Smyrnaâs website
