RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Resurfacing I-24 from Stones River Bridge (MM 78.5) to East of the Bridge over CSX Railroad (MM 82)
- Friday August 5, 8PM through Monday August 8, 5AM, There will be a traffic shift on the Exit 81A ramp from I-24 EB to South Bound Church Street to remove and replace concrete. This ramp will remain open to traffic.
- Nightly excluding Saturday and Sunday, 8PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-24 in both directions between Stones River Bridge (LM 15.58) and east of bridge over CSX Railroad (LM 19.07) for paving operations and pavement markings. One lane will remain open in each direction.
RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Grading, Drainage and Paving on SIA Route Serving Nissan North America
- From now through August 2016, Singer Road, from North Broad Street to the Nissan North America entrance, will be closed to through traffic. This closure will remain in place until the project has been completed or until 8/31/16. Local business access within the project limits will be provided.

Bridge over Broad Street TDOT Project
Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 8:00 pm to 6:00 am: There will be alternating lane closures on NW Broad Street, Ridgley Road and W College Street for underground utility crossing. There will be lane shifts and traffic interruptions. Broadmor Blvd is closed to through traffic for utility crossing and general construction work. W Lytle Street and a short segment of College St and Burton St are also closed to traffic for construction work. Retaining wall work continues as part of the southwest and southeast ramps for the new overpass. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.
W Lytle Street Relocation Project (NW Broad St to Barker St)
Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 8:00 pm to 6:00 am: W Lytle Street is also closed to traffic at NW Broad Street for construction work. Paving work continues on Lytle St. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.
W Lytle Street Roadway Improvement Project (Baker St to Church St)
Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday: W Lytle Street will be closed to through traffic between Walnut St and Maple St for construction work. The intersection of W Lytle St and Walnut St will be also closed to through traffic. Access to local businesses will be kept open at all times. Message boards and appropriate traffic controls will be in place.
Rutherford County Judicial Center Project (between Burton St and Lytle St)
Expected Lane Closures: Wednesday, July 20, 2016 – Friday, March 31, 2017: As part of the Rutherford County Judicial Center construction, Burton St between Maple St and Church St will be closed to traffic to make roadway improvements. Burton St traffic will be detoured onto Lytle St. There will be traffic interruptions and minor lane closures at the intersection of Maple St and Burton for steel and equipment deliveries. Appropriate traffic controls will be in-place.
Middle Tennessee Widening Project (Greenland Dr to E Main St)
Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday: The contractor has implemented the next phase of the traffic control plan on Middle Tennessee Blvd. Traffic on Middle Tennessee Blvd has been shifted to the east side and reduced to two-lanes two-way between E Main St and Greenland Dr. E Lytle St is closed at Middle Tennessee Blvd. The section of E Lytle St between N Bilbro Ave and Middle Tennessee Blvd are only open to local traffic. Appropriate traffic control signs and message boards will be in place.
TDOT Roadway Improvement Project (Singer Road between NW Broad St and CSX Railroad)
Expected Lane Closures: Monday, March 14 – Wednesday, August 31: The contractor for TDOT will be closing Singer Rd between NW Broad St and CSX Tracks to make roadway improvements. Access to and from businesses and residents will be from Florence Road.
Sewer Pump Station Project (NW Broad St at Battlefield Pkwy)
Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 5 pm: Contractor for Water & Sewer Department will be installing sewer lines within TDOT right-of-way/Battlefield Pkwy. A small section of Battlefield Pkwy is closed. Underground bore work continues. Appropriate traffic controls will be in-place.
Private Development Roadway Improvement Work (Veterans Pkwy just north of Old Fort Pkwy)
Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm: Traffic signal and pavement markings work continues on Veterans Pkwy north of Old Fort Pkwy and Old Fort Pkwy just east of Veterans Pkwy. There will be minor lane closures and traffic interruptions. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.
Private Development Utility Work (Crestland Ave just south of Greenland Dr)
Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm: Contractor for a private development will be installing water lines and taps on Crestland Ave just south of Greenland Dr. Traffic on Crestland Ave will eb reduced to one lane flagging operation. There will be lane closures and traffic interruptions. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.
Private Development Turn Lane and Median Improvements (Medical Center Pkwy east of Gateway Blvd)
Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm: Contractor for a private development will be construction turn lanes and median modification work on Medical Center Pkwy just east of Gateway Blvd. Eastbound traffic on Medical Center Pkwy will be reduced from two lanes to one lane. Westbound lanes will not be affected. Appropriate traffic controls will be in-place.
Murfreesboro Water & Sewer Rehabilitation Work
1) Memorial Blvd between S Entrance to McCalisters and Sulphur Spring Rd – Tuesday, 8/9 (between 9 am and 2 pm)
2) Kings Hwy between Dosie Ave and Old Salem Rd – Tuesday, 8/9 (between 9 am and 2 pm)
Expected Lane Closures: Tuesday: The contractor for Water & Sewer Department will be performing manhole rehabilitation/repairs, TV and clean-up work of the sewer lines. There will be lane closures and traffic interruptions. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.
Private Development Water Line Installation Work (Agripark Dr just south of John R Rice Blvd)
Expected Lane Closures: Tuesday through Thursday, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm: Contractor for a private development will be installing water lines on Agripark Dr just south of John R Rice Blvd. Traffic on Agripark Dr will be reduced to one lane flagging operation. There will be lane closures and traffic interruptions. Appropriate traffic controls will be in-place.
Decorative Crosswalk Installation Work (Medical Center Pkwy at GreshamPark Dr)
Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Thursday, 8:00 pm to 6:30 am: Contractor for a private development will be installation decorative crosswalk at the intersection of Medical Center Pkwy and GreshamPark Dr. The through traffic on Medical Center Pkwy at GreshamPark Dr will be reduced from two lanes to one lane. All work will be done at night. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.
Annual City Street Paving Project
Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM: City paving contractor will be raising castings, milling and paving the following streets:
1) Northfield Blvd between Sulphur Springs Rd and Broad St – Signal loop installation and paving
2) Heritage Park Dr between Memorial Blvd and Northfield Blvd – Milling
3) Glen Haven Dr between Parkview Terrace and Broadlands Dr – Milling
4) Broadlands Dr between Glen Haven Dr and Cul-de-sac – Milling
5) Dow St – Paving
6) Cross St – Paving
7) Murfree Dr – Paving
