At the County Commission meeting on Thursday, August 15, Jeff Elliott, Director of The Fire & Codes Academy presented an award to Chief Larry Farley before the commission. The Tennessee Fire Codes and Training Academy recognized RCFR for having the highest training hours in the state for a combination Paid/Volunteer Fire Department.
State Fire Marshal Gary Farley commended the efforts of Chief Farleyâs department as well as their partnership in the ongoing âClose the Doorâ and free smoke alarm campaigns that are making a significant difference in reducing the number of home fires in Middle TN. Chief Farley expressed his gratitude and respect for the efforts of his personnel and their commitment to training, and his appreciation for Mayor Ketron and the Commission for their support of the department.
